ABOUT
Maheshwari Vividoddeshagala Mahila Mandal, Gadag, is a not-for-profit organization established in June 2003, working for the overall betterment of society with a strong focus on women’s empowerment. The organization supports and trains women to step out of their homes, build their own identity in society, and become entrepreneurs. Our activities have reached women across five districts—Gadag, Koppal, Haveri, Bagalkot, and Dharwad-Hubballi. The primary objective of our association is to provide skill-based training to women at the taluk, district, and village levels, enabling them to lead independent lives and pursue self-employment. Our first training program was conducted through a government-supported Kasuti hand embroidery course for 33 women at Hombal. Currently, we train nearly 1,000 women every year, and to date, approximately 25,000–30,000 women trained by our association are leading independent lives and working in fields such as garment making, tailoring, and other vocational sectors.

We have been organizing exhibitions from 2006 to 2018 (14 years) to support women by providing them marketing opportunities. Each year, around 200 women from all 30 districts are given a platform to showcase and sell their products.
